Between cinema and real life

What we look for in every wedding is easy to say and hard to achieve: a film that looks like cinema and feels like the truth.
Behind Cawdal is Carlos Martínez, a video producer. Over the last four years he has filmed for brands, companies, city councils and artists, directed music videos and covered international events in Spain, Portugal and France. All of that shows on the wedding day: reading the light, anticipating what’s about to happen and telling a story with rhythm.
We’ve filmed more than 40 weddings and every one has taught us the same thing: no two are alike. So we don’t follow a script. We watch, we adapt and we let the day tell itself, shaped by a cinematic eye.
“Every couple has their own way of loving each other. Our job is to see it.”
What we look for in every wedding
A cinematic eye
Framing, light and rhythm approached like a film shoot, so every shot has intention.
Documentary truth
No posing, no retakes. What happens, as it happens, even when we’re not in the middle of it.
Closeness
One point of view from start to finish: the person you talk to is the one who films and edits. In English, Spanish or Catalan.
